Agricultural Biotechnology

Developing biotechnological solutions to address global food security challenges. Our agricultural biotechnology program focuses on crop improvement, biopesticide development, and sustainable farming practices.

Crop Improvement

Applying genomics, gene editing, and marker-assisted selection to develop crop varieties with improved yield, nutritional quality, and stress tolerance. Our programs target both staple crops and specialty species.

Biopesticides

Developing biological alternatives to chemical pesticides using microbials, plant-derived compounds, and RNA interference technologies. Our biopesticide platform prioritizes efficacy, environmental safety, and resistance management.

Sustainable Agriculture

Integrating biotechnology with sustainable farming practices to reduce environmental impact. We develop solutions for precision agriculture, soil health improvement, and water-efficient crop production.

Gene Editing for Crops

Deploying CRISPR and other gene editing tools for precise modification of crop genomes. We develop non-transgenic approaches for trait improvement, enabling faster regulatory pathways and consumer acceptance.

Key Projects

Climate-Resilient Crops Initiative

Developing crop varieties that withstand drought, heat, and flooding. This initiative combines genomic selection with gene editing to accelerate the development of climate-adapted cultivars.

Biopesticide Development

Creating novel biological pest control agents from microbial and plant-derived sources. Our pipeline includes formulations for major crop pests with minimal environmental impact.

Soil Microbiome Enhancement

Engineering beneficial soil microbial communities to improve nutrient cycling, plant growth promotion, and disease suppression. We develop microbial inoculants for sustainable crop production.
