About the Role

Kingston Biotechnology Research is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to lead our genomics research initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to direct cutting-edge genomic projects, shape research strategy, and mentor a team of talented scientists in a world-class facility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage genomic research projects from conception through publication
  • Design and execute complex experiments utilizing next-generation sequencing (NGS) and CRISPR technologies
  • Mentor and develop junior scientists, fostering a culture of scientific excellence
  • Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with proteomics, computational biology, and drug discovery teams
  • Present research at national and international scientific conferences
  • Contribute to grant proposals and secure external research funding

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of post-doctoral research experience
  • Expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and workflows
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CRISPR-based genome editing techniques
  • Strong background in bioinformatics and computational genomics
  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications in genomics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience leading a research team or lab
  • Experience with single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP) for genomic data analysis
